Podiatry
Podiatry is the treatment of Foot and Ankle problems. X-ray, CT scan, MRI and Ultrasound scans are tools commonly used in the investigation of foot problems.
Foot problems commonly treated surgically include:
- Hallux Valgus (bunions)
- Hallux Rigidus (Arthritic big toe joints)
- Hammer toes
- Mallet toes
- Neuroma
- Ganglions
- Ingrown toenails
- Skin lesions
- Flexible Flat Foot
- Tendon problems
Not all foot problems require surgery and some e.g Heel Pain, Tendonitis and mechanical problems may be treated with Orthoses or injection therapy.
